(No Businesses, Schools, Farms, Municipalities or
Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators-CESQGs)
Sponsored by the Development Authority of the North Country, Jefferson, Lewis and
St. Lawrence Counties and the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation

The following materials WILL be accepted: The following materials WILL NOT be accepted:
Solvents Latex Paint (Dry up and dispose in trash)
Pesticides Motor Oil (Recycle at a Service Station)
Vehicle Fluids (NO motor oil) Asbestos
Fluorescent Light Tubes Materials Containing PCBs
Adhesives Construction & Demolition Material
Epoxy Resins Smoke Detectors (Manufacturer Mail-in)
Polishes & Waxes Commercial or Agricultural Hazardous Wastes
Antifreeze Non-residential Hazardous Wastes
Pool Chemicals Automotive Batteries (Recycle at Retailer)
Photography Chemicals Explosives, Flares and Munitions
Household Cleaning Products Tires
Driveway Sealers Non-Hazardous Recyclable Materials
Wood Preservatives Unsorted Solid Waste
Corrosives Radioactive Materials
Home Chemistry Sets Empty Aerosol Cans (Put in Recycling Bin)
Aerosol Cans Containing Product Propane Cylinders / Tanks
Products Containing Mercury (NoThermostats) Electronic Equipment -no computers, TVs, etc
OIL BASED Paints (NO Latex Paint) Batteries
If paint can be cleaned up with water—it is not oil based (E-waste & Batteries-Bring to County Transfer
Station for recycling)
Unwanted or unused prescription and over the counter pharmaceuticals / medications from
residential households only will be collected by Law Enforcement
Officials at all events except the Lowville event
