Man Says Apple Watch Saved His Life During Car Crash

Maybe an Apple a day does keep the doctor away…A man involved in a hit-and-run thanks his Apple Watch for saving his life. Minnesota resident Michael Brodkorb says he was hit by a car in his driveway last month. What’s worse, the car didn’t even stop. The driver, who has since been identified as a 17-year-old, just peeled out, leaving Brokorb injured on the ground.

Luckily, Brokob says, “The Apple Watch knew that I had taken a hard fall and that I wasn’t responding in a specific amount of time, so the watch called 911.” The watch also texted his wife and kids alerting them of what happened. As he continues to recover from the accident, Brodkorb says he even received well-wishes straight from the top! Apple CEO Tim Cook reached out to wish him a speedy recovery.
