81-Year-Old Man Survives For A Week In Snowbank Eating Candy And Croissants
Medical professionals are stunned at an 81-year-old man who survived in a snowbank for a week by eating only candy, croissants, and biscotti. Jerry Jouret, a mathematician and former NASA employee, was driving from his mountain house in Big Pine, California, to his family home in Nevada and lost control of his vehicle during a snowstorm and got stuck in a snowbank.
He couldn’t get his car out, so he camped out in his vehicle. The sheriff’s office got a call reporting him as a missing person four days after he left for home, but it was another few days until they could start looking for him due to the weather.
After he was found, he was released from the hospital after a few hours in good health, and his nurses “were in awe at how well his vitals were.”
