While he was out for a walk in Texas, Dirk Parker came across a bright pink grasshopper. He thought it was cool but left it there and continued his walk. Parker says he realized in his hotel room that night what a rare find he had made. The next morning, his dad told him on the phone to go back and see if he could find it.
Would you believe he did? He says the grasshopper had only moved about four feet from where he first spotted it. He caught it and took it with him, buying a small habitat for it to live in. He plans on donating it to an insect habitat when he finds the right one to care for “Pinky.”
