Over 40 Camels Disqualified From Saudi Beauty Pageant Because Of Face Lifts And Botox

Over 40 camels have been disqualified from the Abdulaziz Camel Festival in Saudi Arabia after judges discovered that dozens of breeders had stretched out the lips and noses of camels, used hormones to boost their muscles, injected their heads and lips with Botox, inflated body parts with rubber bands, and used fillers to relax their faces.

Authorities say they’re using ‘specialized and advanced’ technology to detect if camels have had work done. It’s a common practice in Saudi Arabia, as the cash prizes and sale price for a winning camel can add up to over a million dollars; this pageant had a prize pool of $65 million.
