Police in Vancouver came across what they thought was an impaired driver tooling around on their local highways. However, once they pulled the car over, they realized the two human occupants inside were very sober. It turns out, they thought a “busy roadway” was the perfect place to test out their new car’s “self-driving” features.” Cops say that, while they understand the desire and necessity to test out what your car can do, an empty parking lot is going to be a lot safer…and you’re still responsible for your vehicle no matter where you are. The new features are nice, but they’re no replacement for an attentive driver.
