Throughout August and September, SLC Arts offers free Arts Funding Workshops, to present information about opportunities and eligibility for arts program funding and explain the application and review process. This year, all workshops will be held virtually over the free and user-friendly Zoom video conferencing application. Please view the workshop schedule, and register in advance, by visiting slcartscouncil.org/grants. First-time applicants are required to attend a workshop before applying for a grant.
SLC Arts offers three grant opportunities for artists, arts organizations, municipalities, and 501(c)3 non-profit organizations throughout St. Lawrence, Jefferson, and Lewis Counties. Each year, through the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Regrant Program, SLC Arts distributes over $60,000 in state funds throughout the North Country, for the purpose of arts programming. Projects funded through this program include, but are not limited to: concerts, theatrical performances, art classes, public art exhibitions, and even the creation of new, community-based work. All artistic disciplines are eligible to apply. SLC Arts is now offering grant opportunities for projects that will take place in 2021.
Assistance and feedback are always available throughout the application process. 2021 Applications and Guidelines are available at slcartscouncil.org/grants. For more information, reach out to Alicia Murphy, Grant Coordinator, at email@example.com.
Made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Governor Andrew M Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and administered by the St. Lawrence Council Arts Council.
