Couple Names Newborn Son “Sanitiser”

The baby’s father, Omveer Singh, says it’s their “contribution” to combatting the pandemic and as a way to acknowledge this moment in history. “We will remember this period whenever we utter his name,” he says.

“Sanitiser” is actually one of a number of babies who have been born recently and given a coronavirus-themed name. Another couple from India had twins last month and named their baby girl and boy “Corona” and “Covid.”
