It seems like every business is getting hammered in some way by the “Coronavirus Freakout of 2020.” In particular, anything travel-related is taking the heaviest toll, and – among those – the cruise industry is getting hit the most. By some estimates, it might take a year to fully recover. There’s a way YOU can benefit from the hype, however.
Carnival Cruises doesn’t want you to cancel your travel plans and have announced an incentive to encourage people to keep them. If you’ve booked a Carnival Cruise that departs between now and May 31st, you will receive credits that differ depending on the length of the cruse.
- $100 per cabin for a three-and-four-day cruise
- $150 per cabin for five-day cruises
- $200 per cabin for six-day and longer cruises
With that credit cash? You can buy beer, wine, and cocktails. If for some reason booze isn’t your thing, you can also use those credits on spa treatments or shore excursions. The bottom line in all this? If you’re taking care of yourself and don’t have an underlying health issue, you should be fine – even if you get a touch of the ick – so enjoy your life. And you get benefit from the paranoia of others? Even better.
