The FAA Wants To Track ALL Your Drones

The FAA wants to know what you’re doing with your drone. The agency has proposed a new rule to make ALL drones in the U.S. trackable. To pull it off, each drone would have a remote ID that can be tracked by a third-party. They say this will help them ID drones that aren’t authorized to fly and could pose a “security threat.” Look for this to take effect in the next three years, with one exception to the rule being drones that are flying within 400-feet of their owners not being forced to “broadcast their locations.”<< see audio to right >>
