These days it seems like everyone is talking about CDB, a.k.a. Cannabidiol, a compound found in marijuana that doesn’t get you high, but reportedly does do a lot of great things, like relieve pain, combat acne and more. But while more and more places seem to be hawking CDB, and more products are adding CDB, how many people are actually using it?
Well, according to a new Gallup poll, about 14% of U.S. adults use CDB products, with those 18 to 29 the most likely to be using them (20%), while only 11% of those 50 to 64, and 8% of those over 65 are using them. And while they seem to be hugely popular, 50% of Americans say they don’t use CDB at all, with 35% not even knowing what they are.
But for folks who are using CDB products, what are they mostly using them for? The most common use is for pain, with 40% of CDB users taking it for some sort of pain issue. Other uses include:
- Treat anxiety (20%)
- Insomnia or other sleep issues (11%)
- Arthritis (8%)
- Migraines or other headaches (5%)
- Stress (5%)
- Recreational (4%)
- Give it to their pets (1%)
