A school trip turned nearly deadly for a 13-year-old boy, whose only being identified as Morteza. While swimming in a lake in Burgenland, Austria, he presumably went under and was found 41-minutes later by a team of divers.

Incredibly, a team of doctors were able to save him by cooling Morteza’s body temperature down and putting him in a medically induced coma for a week.

After spending five weeks in intensive care, then more time in a normal ward, Morteza has regained most of his motor and cognitive abilities and is said to be in good health.
