Fiat Heir Faked Kidnapping Got Caught With A Hooker And Drugs
Lapo Elkann is the grandson of Fiat founder, Gianni Angelli, and he found possibly the most un-productive way to pay-off a partying debt. After two straight days of booze, drugs and shenanigans with a transgender escort, Elkann found himself unable to pay up.
How does one foot the bill on such an expense? Easy! You call a family friend, and claim to be kidnapped. Then you say it’ll take $10,000 to buy your freedom – from the housing project where you’re being held. Thing is? Instead of coughing up the cash, the fam called the cops.
Initially, the escort was busted and charged with grand larceny by extortion. But the investigation revealed that Elkann had made the call from his own cellphone, and that he could’ve left anytime he wanted. Charges against his hooker friend have now been dropped and he’s been slapped with a misdemeanor for filing a false report. He’ll be back in court January 25th.
