Woman Gives Birth On The Side Of The Highway
Terrice and Austin Thomas had a little something extra to be thankful for this year. The expecting couple were en route to a New York hospital when Terrice realized the baby was ready to arrive. NOW.
“We pulled over, he called 911, they started to walk him through what to do,” Terrice says. “And I’m like, ‘I’m here, I’m over here,’ I called out to the dispatcher, ‘I’m here, I’m over here, the baby’s coming.'” As you can imagine, it was a bit stressful for Austin. “I saw the baby’s head; the baby’s head was out,” he remembers. “So he was saying to me, ‘Listen the baby’s going to be slippery, you got to catch it. Don’t let it fall, you got to catch the baby.'”
The new dad did catch the baby, a daughter the couple has named Taliah. Both mom and baby are happy and healthy. Congrats to the happy and growing family!
