Yet Another Study Touts The Health Benefits Of Beer
Hoist a cold, frosty one and toast the researchers at the University of Pennsylvania. Why? Their study has revealed that drinking beer is good for you. Sure, we’ve heard this before – and in this case, 80-thousand were studied, and here’s what they found out: there was a significant decrease in cholesterol with both men and women who drank in moderation. In this case, “moderation” means one beer a day for women, two for men.
The study didn’t just end with beer, though. They did test for wine, but apparently there were not enough grape-lovers to make any definitive statement on if the results were similar.
Other studies have come out recently that have had similar results, but all of them have on theme in common: moderation. So, going on some massive binge-drinking exhibition to celebrate might be a tad counter-productive. Here’s to good health!
