Watch Sells For A Record $11-Million At Auction
If you had a spare $11-million lying around, what would you buy? One guy decided to buy a watch. That’s right, a wristwatch.
This particular Swiss watch dates back to 1943 and is part of the series that first included both a stop-watch function and a calendar that incorporated leap years.
Think $11-million is a bit steep for a watch? You’re right. According to the auction house in Geneva, Switzerland where the timepiece was sold, it’s “a new world record for any wristwatch at auction.”
