Companies With The Best Customer Loyalty
If a customer is happy they’ll likely return to a store over and over again, and achieving customer loyalty is probably something most companies strive for in their day to day business. Well, some companies certainly do a better job at attracting loyal customers, and thanks to a new report by Temkin Group, we now know which companies do the best job at snagging customers for life.
Temkin talked to 10,000 consumers, evaluating customer loyalty for 294 companies across 20 industries. The company determined their Temkin Loyalty Index based on customers willingness to repurchase from a company, recommend it to others, forgive their mistakes, trust them and try new things they offer.
Overall, the companies with the highest loyalty scores include Publix, H-E-B, and USAA while, while Comcast, Motel 6, and Anthem (health insurance) earned the lowest. Banks and investment firms saw the smallest decline in loyalty over last year, while TV service providers and fast food restaurants saw the biggest declines.

- Banks: USAA
- Computer and tablet makers: Amazon.com (Kindle)
- Credit card issuers: USAA
- Fast food chains: Chick-fil-A
- Health plans: Kaiser Permanente
- Hotel chains: Residence Inn
- Internet service providers: AT&T
- Parcel delivery services: UPS
- Rental car agencies: Ace Rent A Car
- Retailers: Amazon.com
- Software firms: Apple & Google (tied)
- Supermarket chains: Publix
- TV service providers: Dish Network
- Wireless carriers: MetroPCS
