Why Are There Always More Yellow Skittles? The Investigation
If you are a lover of those little tabs of fruity goodness known as Skittles, then you might’ve noticed something. You seem to be tasting the yellow part of the rainbow more than any other color. And it isn’t just your imagination, and there is no shortage of theories as to why.
But now, Skittles fans have gone all CSI, and have taken on the investigation as to why the yellow ones are more common in the production process. For these obsessed candy lovers, “it just happens by accident” is just not good enough.
The theory that has gained the most steam: most of the flavors have the yellow as part of the coloring. That means that the process has more of the yellow on-hand. That means there is more of the yellow left over. That means that there is more yellow in your bag of sugary heaven.
Scientific? No. Delicious anyway? Yes.
