Online Searches For Birth Control Spike After Trump Presidential Win
Women are taking to the Internet in the wake of a Donald Trump victory, and they’re not searching for official campaign merchandise. Apparently, the online quest for IUD birth control is underway thanks to concerns that Trump will make good on his promise to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
A story published just before the election in “The Daily Beast” could be partially to blame for the frenzy. In it, women were encouraged to “get an IUD before it’s too late” just in case Trump won and women’s birth control options were compromised.
