Man Legally Changes His Name To iPhone 7
Olexander Turin really wanted an iPhone 7. The 20-year-old heard about a contest an electronics store in Kiev, Ukraine was hosting where the first five people to legally change their name to “iPhone 7” would get one of the phones for free.
So, Turin is now legally iPhone Sim, which translates to iPhone 7 in Ukrainian. He made the cut and got one of the phones. It was a good fiscal decision, too. The phones go for the equivalent of $850 while changing your name only costs about two bucks.
Understandably, Sim’s family was skeptical at first but have come around to the idea. As for the man himself, he figures he might change his name back when he has children.
