You think you have wanderlust? Meet 27-year-old Cassie De Pecol. The woman from Connecticut is on a mission to travel to all 196 countries faster than any other female ever has. In just 15 months, she’s made it to 180.
What’s more, De Pecol is handling the finances herself. She’s work as a Peace Ambassador for the International Institute of Peace Through Tourism and Skal International and collecting water samples for Adventurers and Scientists for Conservation. Oh, and she’s getting all her own sponsors and donors while on the road.
“If I’m not meeting with the Ministry, giving keynote sessions to university students, collecting samples, obtaining visas, or doing promotion, I travel around the country on my own, but not for long,” De Pecol explains. “I try to spend the most time in countries where I’m able to promote my Mission to make a difference.” On average, she says she spends between two and five days in any one country and she’s documenting it all for an educational film she’s working on. Go Cassie, go!
