Woman Has Over 430 Grandchildren
Sahe Tayurak is truly a great-greatmother. In case you missed it, the woman from southeastern Turkey has over 430 grandchildren. She has been married twice and has seven children, spanning from 90 to 60-years-old. As for her grandkids, Tayurak’s oldest grandson is 70 and the youngest is just two-years-old. She lives with her youngest son, who confirms that she has hundreds of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
“Three-years-ago she had 415 grandchildren, I’m not sure how many she has today. To find out, I would have to do the same thing I did three years ago, call around all the brothers and sisters, cousins, nephews and grandchildren, and then make a list,” he explains. “But I can say with confidence that in the last three years at least another 15 grandchildren have been born, and the total number exceeds 430.”
Her son adds that no one knows exactly how old his mother is because the rural population of Turkey wasn’t registered until 1945. Regardless of how old she is, Tayurak only first had medical problems last year.
