Church Might Be Fined Because Of Its Loud Church Bells
One small Spanish town has had enough of a church’s tolling bells. In fact, residents of Mostoles, Spain have issued complaints about the volume and it might end in a fine for the church…to the tune of $17,500.
A technician measured the decibel volume of the bells at Our Lady of the Assumption Church and found they are some 30 decibels above what the town’s regulations allow.
That being said, the medieval church isn’t exactly a cash cow and one priest says he has no idea how they’ll pay the massive fine if it is issued.
