People Are Losing Sleep Over The Presidential Election
There’s no doubt this presidential election stressful. In fact, we recently told you about a poll in which 53% of Americans admitted the election has been a cause of stress in their life. Well, apparently all that stress is also causing people to lose sleep, with a new survey finding that 38% percent of folks admit they’ve lost sleep over the election, with women 22% more likely to lose sleep over this political season than men.
And even when they are asleep, the elections are causing people problems. In fact, 28% of Americans say they’ve had a dream or nightmare about the presidential race, as well as the coverage of the debates. And again, women are having a harder time, with gals 10% more likely to say they’ve experienced a nightmare than men.
Overall, younger folks seem to be losing the most sleep over the race for the White House. The survey finds that those under the age of 35 are more likely to have their sleep affected by the election as compared to older Americans, with 42% losing sleep, and another 35% experiencing nightmares.
