It’s Cuban Cigar And Rum Time!
International relations have taken an important leap forward – as steps have been taken to loosen some of the dumbest restrictions ever. It’s no longer illegal to bring Cuban cigars and rum into the United States.
President Obama is working to make sure these policies stay permanent by January, so that Americans can celebrate in Cuban style. What this means is that if you go to Mexico, for example, and you want to come back with a bonanza of Cuban stogies and booze nobody can stop you or swipe it from you. Unless, of course, they think you are bringing it back to sell. And you wouldn’t do that, would you?
Can POTUS make it permanent before he checks out of the White House? Who knows – but between that and moves to open up Cuba to general tourism, people here and in Cuba can celebrate, Cuban style!
