Japan Creates Motorized Chairs For Waiting In Line

Ready to be even lazier? Japanese car makers Nissan are here to help you! The company has used the same technology they use in their automobiles to create motorized chairs designed for people waiting in line at restaurants.

The idea is when the person at the front of the line gets called, their chair moves and the remaining hungry diners in line will move up accordingly, all thanks to sensors in their seats.

“(It) appeals to anyone who has queued for hours outside a crowded restaurant,” Nissan explains, “it eliminates the tedium and physical strain of standing in line.” The new futuristic chairs will be tested out at select Tokyo restaurants later this year.

Check out a video showing off the new technology to the right.
