In Newport News, Virginia some golfers stumbled across something that they had never seen on a golf course before.

Intestines.

The guts were sprawled across one of the fairways at Newport News Golf Club. Devin Wood was one of the men who made the discovery, saying it was smell “unlike anything he had ever smelled before.” Considering Virginia is next to Washington, D.C., he knows of what he speaks.

Park rangers investigated the entrails, and have determined that the colonic remnants were likely from a deer, and then dropped by an obviously finicky bird. No word on if the attached stomach lining made a good club cover.
