Philadelphia Testing Out Urine-Repelling Paint
Philadelphia has heard the complaints of smell and cleanliness within its transit system and is doing something about it. Beginning this fall, the city’s main transit agency is trying out urine-repelling paint.
Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is set to apply a coat of Ultra-Ever Dry coating, which will cause the urine to splash back on the offender.
Believe it or not, Philly isn’t the first city to teach public urinators a lesson. San Francisco and Germany have also used the paint in public places around the respective cities.
