Astronomers are constantly listening for some sort of signal from outer space. Well, they got one and now they are all taping their horn rims together and headed for a conference to talk about it.

SETI stands for Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence, and the SETI Institute in California along with some Russians who have a big radio telescope, have discovered some radio waves coming from outer space. Apparently, it’s coming from a solar system that might have a planet just like Earth (let’s hope their election season isn’t so freaking crazy.)

Scientists don’t know if this is just space static or the real thing, but they will hobnob with their fellow SETI’s at their annual conference September 25-29 in Australia.
