Sony’s New “Neo” Coming September 7th

We could get more details about the newest Sony PlayStation model soon, but they’re hard to come by. Sony’s been pretty secretive about the device, dubbed internally as “Neo,” but just sent out invites to a “PlayStation Event” September 7th in New York City. Tech writers will hear about more processing power, 4K video and the new VR Headset, which is reportedly coming out in October. But PlayStation Neo? No one knows if we’ll get the release date or even the price of the console, but it’s not likely to be cheap.

Sony watchers predict a 2017 release of the new PlayStation, about the same time a beefed up Xbox is supposed to come out of Microsoft.
