Joanna Cridlin lives in London, England and she’s tired of getting driven from her apartment by the odors coming from the apartment upstairs. She says her neighbors are cooking food so spicy that the smells “permeate her home for up to eight hours a day.” And she has gone to court to stop them.

Cridlin is suing her landlord to take action against the “pungent chilis” being cooked at the apartment over hers, creating smells that are “making her life hell.” She claims she has “choked in her sleep” at times, and “staggered to her balcony gasping for air.” She is also demanding monetary damages for loss of earnings and personal injury. No court date or neighborhood dinner party has been set.
