Customers Rescue Subway Employee Trapped In The Restaurant’s Freezer
Sometimes not only is the customer right, but they’ll also come to rescue. Amandeep Singh walked into a Subway restaurant in Newmarket, New Zealand and heard cries for helping coming from the back of the store. It turns out the location’s lone employee working that shift had gotten stuck inside the freezer two hours earlier.
Singh went outside and got his wife Rezi, who jumped over the counter and got the girl out. The Singhs were smart and got the entire incident on camera. Armandeep explains, “I decided to record the video just in case it was not a fake call, or if Subway people accuse us of entering the premises.”
The footage also captures the moment the unnamed employee escapes the freezer and immediately hugs Rezi. “She was very, very frightened,” Armandeep says. “She was out of her mind. She was saying, ‘you guys are angels.'” A spokesperson for Subway says the girl is “a bit embarrassed about the whole thing.” Check out the rescue to the right.
