When it comes to booze, almost 80% of people are looking for something different to celebrate our “independence.” And if you’re a Millennial, chances are you’re going for something other than beer…like maybe cider? But really, a new survey shows that of most drinkers would be open to try anything new at their Independence Day BBQs this year.Cider isn’t a new thing either. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson not only owned apple orchards but they made hard cider. Even our second president John Adams was known to have a jug of hard cider every morning with breakfast. Anyone else feel like Adams was hitting the “apple” sauce a little hard?

Despite hard cider gaining in popularity the category of booze is still relatively unknown in the United States.
