For most, getting some sun is a reason to go to the beach. For St George’s Preparatory School in Jersey, England, it was reason enough to stay inside. In case you missed it, an end-of-year school trip to the beach was cancelled because of the dangers of mid-day sun exposure.

As St George’s headmaster explains, the practicality of having to worry about over 200 kids of varying ages’ sun safety isn’t worth it. Instead, school officials are “busy trying to organize a less exposed alternative event.”
