He wasn’t too happy about the call either. “It was a strange red card, I can hardly believe it myself. I had a bit of a tummy upset and in the last minute of the game I let off a fart,” he explains. “I was pretty angry with the referee, and I could not quite believe what had happened.”

The only thing the 25-year-old left-back could think was that the referee thought he did it up against another player. He claims it was perfectly innocent and done with the purest intentions. When you gotta pass you gotta pass right?

Ljungkvist doesn’t agree with the call but he seems to be taking it in good fun. He notes, “I can only laugh about it. This has to be unprecedented, surely.”
