It’s still uncommon for a woman to propose to a man. Even more rare? A teacher proposing to a student…while wearing a full on wedding dress.

The Mirror is reporting a woman who works as a counselor at the Hunan University of Arts and Science in China proposed to a student 10 years younger than her while wearing a wedding dress. What’s more, the soon-to-be bride had both male and female students dressed in white bridesmaids dresses with her. 

The teacher’s whose last name is Hu, has been dating the student, whose last name is Sun, for a few months after meeting in a class. Sun is a few weeks from graduation and now, after accepting Hu’s proposal, says he’s going to find a stable job and “explain his decision to his parents.”
