Nobody likes to get a robocall, especially one that is trying to scam you out of money, but it’s pretty apparent we all have to deal with them…A LOT.

According to a new survey, 89% of people get unwanted calls monthly, while 14% say they receive over 30 unwanted calls each month. And as most of us know, lots of times those call tend to be from the same organization, with 60% of people saying the same group calls them over and over despite requests for them to stop calling.

And a lot of those calls aren’t on the up and up, which has lead to some disastrous consequences. The YouGov survey found that 11% of adults have been victims of phone scams, while of those victims, 20% have lost anywhere between $500 and $10,000.

So, what are the scams we need to look out for the most? Well, according to the survey, 33% of people have fallen victim to IRS scams, while 31% suffered credit/loan scams, 27% were suckered in by lottery/sweepstakes scams, 22% were victimized by banking scams and 16% were duped by automated message scams.
