For one woman, her hero wasn’t a knight in shining armor, but he did have a horse. Rancher Robert Borba was at a Walmart in Oregon when he heard a woman screaming that her bag was stolen. He spotted the criminal fleeing and got out his trusty lasso.

Borba threw his lasso around the robber, sending him tumbling to the ground. The rancher held the man for 15 minutes while waiting for police to arrive.

Victorino Arellano-Sanchez was collared on a misdemeanor theft charge. As for Borba, it was just another day with his lasso. “I use a rope every day, that’s how I make my living,” he says. “If it catches cattle pretty good, it catches a bandit pretty good.”
