Aussie Runs Over A Frog, Has It Airlifted To The Hospital
Min Tims was mowing her lawn in Mount Isa, Australia when she realized she accidentally ran over a green tree frog. She was distraught and called her niece who tried to help patch up the animal with a first-aid kit. That’s when they searched for help and found Frog Safe, a frog hospital in Cairns.
“The frog needed to be packed up a particular way, had to get to the airport, we had to find out if the airport would be willing to carry the frog for us,” Frog Safe president Deborah Pergolotti explains. “We needed the assistance of three different businesses to get the frog here.”
The amphibian was airlifted over 620 miles and landed at Frog Safe. The little guy has damage to one of his eyes and it’s unclear how well he’ll recover from that injury, but he’s alive.
