Regardless of the results of the mayoral election in the Romanian city of Draguseni, you can bet your life that the winner will be named Vasile Cepoi. Why? All three candidates have that name. 

As a town hall official explains, Cepoi is a common family name in that region and Vasile is a popular male name throughout Romania.

There’s a conspiracy theory going around that the name coincidence could be a trick by certain parties to get their candidates elected. Government officials say that’s “possible.”
