Couple Has Murder Themed Engagement Photo Shoot
Shi Jaramillo and fiancé Patrick Reetz aren’t you’re average couple and that meant their engagement shoot was a bit out there, too. The Austin, Texas couple went to a park and took murder themed photos to celebrate their love.
“The theme was PG 13 horror, the easy route would have been matching button ups holding hands on the beach, but I am not one to go the easy route,” 37-year-old Reetz explains. “While Shi was the brain child of the whole affair, I suggested the minor subtleties like the knife behind the back and in a way what we did was satirizing traditional engagement photos.”
The photos include bloody hands showing off the engagement ring, a bloody kiss, and one with the soon to be bride and groom surrounding a dead body and holding shovels. Probably not surprisingly, the rest of their wedding is a bit strange, too. Shi and Patrick’s invitations refer to the guests as “accomplices” and instead of asking them to RSVP, the invite asks if those accomplices will help “hide the bodies.”
