Man Gets Hundreds of Tats, All His Teeth Removed For World Records
Har Parkash Rishi’s resume is impressive…and chock full of Guinness world records. The 74-year-old man from India has over 20 records to his name, but it’s his determination that’s really impressive.
In pursuit of Guinness, he’s gotten over 500 tattoos, including 366 flags, and had all of his teeth removed. That’s right. “I am the world record holder of 496 straws in my mouth,” Rishi, who goes by Guinness Rishi, explains. “For that record, I needed space, I had to remove every tooth so that I could put maximum straws in my mouth.”
He nabbed his first record back in 1990 when, with two friends, he rode a scooter for 1,001 hours. Since then, he’s delivered a pizza from New Delhi to San Francisco and slurped down an entire bottle of ketchup in under four minutes. Even his woman got in the world record game. Rishi’s wife, Bimla, holds a 1991 record for writing the world’s shortest will. It reads: “All to Son.”
Rishi doesn’t plan on stopping, either. The senior citizen is in the midst of getting images of global leaders tattooed on his body.
- ONE MORE THING! Rishi might have a ridiculous amount of records, but he isn’t even close to having the world record for the most world records. That honor belongs to Ashrita Furman. He’s set 551 Guinness records and still holds more than 200 of them.
