The Truth About Who Spends More at a Wedding, Bridesmaids or Groomsman
Anyone who’s ever been a bridesmaid at a wedding knows it will set you back a pretty penny, but believe it or not, it turns out groomsman may have it worse when it comes to finances.
According to a new GoBankingRates.com survey, while both bridesmaids and the groomsmen will easily spend at least $1,000 on a wedding, expenses for the groomsman seem to be on the whole higher. For example, on average, a groomsman will shell out $245.50 on his attire for the big day, while bridesmaids will spend $214.58. And then there’s the partying. The average bachelor party will set a groomsman back $681.13, while a bachelorette party typically has a bridesmaid forking over about $437.31.
