Need a vacation and a free meal? You might want to head up to Harvard. In case you missed it, the winner of the Harvard’s Ducky Wucky River Race wins a free dinner…anywhere in the world.
Each year, the Ayer Rotary Club will dump thousands of numbered ducks into the Nashua River. The person who has the number corresponding with the first duck to cross the finish line is the winner. Along with a guest, they win free airfare, a two-night stay at a hotel and the fancy dinner.
Last year’s winner went to Venice, and past lucky ducks have gone to Japan and Australia. The festivities kick off on May 7th. The best part? You can buy ducks to enter online. According to the contest rules, you don’t have to be present to win and money raised goes to various charities the club support.
