Man is Threatening to Sue a Restaurant Over Soup
Dwain Downing really likes his soup. The Texas man, who happens to be a lawyer, is threatening to sue Benji Arslanovski, who operates Our Place Restaurant in Mansfield because he didn’t get the cup of soup that’s advertised on the menu as part of a Saturday special.
Downing claims he was offered no discount or substitution when the soup, which is valued at $2.25, ran out. Now, he wants to be reimbursed for the soup and he’s demanding $250 to cover the cost of attorney fees for the time spent drafting a letter sent to Arslanovski. If he isn’t paid, Downing is ready to go to court.
For what it’s worth, Arslanovski says the menu clearly states the soup comes with the meal “while supplies last.”
