By the end of this month, Ticketmaster will begin selling tickets directly through Facebook.
From Ticketmaster’s point of view, it makes sense.
Many media companies have been using Facebook in a big way because that’s where people go for content instead of homepages these days.
And since Facebook’s other big feature is events, working with events companies like Ticketmaster is the logical next step, allowing users to buy tickets without having to leave the safety and speed of the social network.
But, of course, it also opens the door for people to buy their concert and sporting event tickets – and then COMPLAIN about the fees in the comment section. One stop shopping!
