Pot Dispensary Wants the Naming Rights for Broncos Stadium

As you likely heard, Sports Authority filed bankruptcy last month, and since they had their name on the Denver Broncos’ stadium, companies are bidding for the rights. One of those companies in the bidding war could make things in the park a lot more interesting.

Native Roots, a legal pot dispensary with locations all around Colorado, announced its intentions to snatch up the $6-million naming rights. But even with the bankruptcy, Sports Authority still owns the rights, though word on the street is they won’t be able to make the next payment.

“We may breathe green, but we bleed orange,” says Native Roots CEO Josh Ginsberg. “Just like John Denver so memorably sang in ‘Rocky Mountain High,’ it only makes sense that the company which gains the new naming rights of Mile High be reflective of Colorado.”
