An extension for the Chrome browser now lets Netflix users sync up movies and shows – regardless of how far apart the users are – so that these movies and shows can be watched together, in real time.

The Netflix Party extension also has a chat sidebar, so you can communicate with other people in your party about the movie or show without even being on the phone.

One word of warning… This isn’t a Netflix official app, so there’s a bit of risk. But, odds are, you’re doing stuff with your computer and Internet connection that’s far riskier than something like this.

And, really, wouldn’t you go through a little trouble to be able to watch shows you share with your girlfriend together – and not have to worry about having any spoilers slip?
