A 100-Dollar Wager on Syracuse to Win Tournament to Pay 100K

On January 13th, the Westgate SuperBook had Syracuse listed at 1,000-1 to win the NCAA tournament.Even though the team was struggling at that point, some people had faith. The Westgate took four bets, totaling $135, at that price – including a $100 ticket that would pay $100,100.

Two months later, Syracuse is the first #10 seed to reach the Final Four – and the Westgate SuperBook is sweating.

On Saturday, Syracuse will take on #1 seed North Carolina in hopes of keeping this miracle season alive. And, if they pull off the upset, they’ll be playing for all the marbles on Monday night.

Considering this Syracuse winning streak has already cost Vegas bookmakers a bunch of money already, there are a bunch of oddsmakers at the casinos who will not be rooting for this Cinderella team.
