“The officer said, ‘I don’t know how to tell you this but there’s a warrant out for your arrest from 2002. Apparently you rented the movie “Freddy Got Fingered” and never returned it,'” Meyers who was driving his daughter to school at the time, recalls. “I thought he was joking.” The officer did let him drop his daughter off at school and even go to work as long as he came to the police station later that day. When he did show up, he was put in handcuffs.

Meyers is now due in court on April 27th, on a charge of failure to return rental property, which is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $200. Oh and for what it’s worth, the video store he rented the movie from, J&J’s Video, has since closed.
